Entry Requirements, Enrolment & ATAR

Enrolment

To enrol in first year of the 22576VIC Certificate III Acting (Screen), students must be either Year 10 or Year 11.  This course is treated as a Year 11 subject and therefore is considered a ‘fast track’ subject for Year 10.  Students are required to attend a class once a week and complete a set number of homework tasks.

To enrol in second year, requires students to have completed the first year or, in rare cases receive an exemption*.  They must be in either Year 11 or Year 12.  This course is treated as a Year 12 subject and is considered a ‘fast track’ for Year 11.  Students are required to attend a class once a week and complete a set number of homework tasks.

Enrolment for the 22576VIC Certificate III Acting (Screen) course is done through your home school  (the high school that you currently attend).  The best way to find out more about the enrolment process is to talk to your VET coordinator.  Unfortunately, due to the nature of the course under no circumstances can we accept mid year enrolments.

*For more information on this exemption please contact administration.

Entry Requirements

ATAR and the Certificate III Acting (Screen)
This subject does not have a study score and therefore cannot contribute towards the students primary four.  It is counted as a 5th or 6th subject and contributes towards their ATAR (10% of the average primary four scaled).

Students who undertake VET programs not included in the suite of approved VCE VET programs may be eligible for credit towards their VCE.  VTAC may award students who receive a Units 3 and 4 sequence through Block Credit recognition a 10% increment towards their ATAR (subject to VTAC policy).  The amount of an increment is determined by calculating 10% of the 4th study score of the primary four VCE subjects.  For further information, please go to:  http://www.vtac.edu.au/pdf/publications/choice.pdf

Please note:  The student must already have an English subject and three other full scored VCE subjects to create the primary four.
